The Illinois Homicide Investigators Association (ILHIA) is accepting nominations for the ILHIA Award for Excellence to be presented at the ILHIA Conference in Itasca, IL on October 15-17, 2024. Award nominations should be submitted to ILHIA no later than September 15, 2024. Nominations may not exceed 1,000 words and should adhere to the criteria contained in the ILHIA Award of Excellence Nomination Packet.

ILHIA “Award for Excellence”

The ILHIA acknowledges the importance of recognizing investigators who demonstrate excellence while conducting homicide and death investigations. The ILHIA Award for Excellence is presented to an investigator or a team of investigators who exhibited the highest level of professional dedication and diligence during a violent crime or homicide investigation. Up to 5 awards in this category are awarded each year in conjunction with work done leading to the closure of a specific homicide case within the past year.
